Bree Birt
Kindergarten Teacher bbirt@bethlehem.k12.nh.us I was born and raised in Lancaster, NH and lived there until 2009 when I moved to Vermont with my husband. We have a one year old daughter and an 11 year old yellow lab who loves to go on all kids of adventures with us. I went to school at Plymouth State University for Elementary Education and have taught at BES for 7 years. When I'm not at school with my school friends -- I enjoy hiking, swimming, fishing, camping, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends!

In addition to being an educator, I can be found in the mountains running, hiking, skiing, and biking with my family.

Kristin Bruno
P.E. & Health Teacher kbruno@bethlehem.k12.nh.us I am the Health and PE Teacher here at Bethlehem Elementary School. I moved from Oregon to New Hampshire in 2009. Getting the chance to empower students with knowledge to make achievements in their personal fitness, athleticism, sportsmanship, personal health, and character traits is the most rewarding career for me. I love being involved in many facets of school culture that include the staff, community, and students. In my personal time, I enjoy outdoor activities of all seasons, gardening, spending time with my grandchildren, and many forms of physical activities.

Sara Cascadden
RtI Coordinator & Reading/Writing Specialist scascadden@bethlehem.k12.nh.us I have been teaching for 40 years and I still love it! I am currently the Reading Specialist at BES, but I have taught fifth grade, fourth, and spent most of my hears in second grade. I was born and grew up in Littleton, NH and would make the choice to settle in this area all over again. I remember the last question I was asked in my interview at Bethlehem Elementary School: Why should we hire you over another candidate? My response still holds true today: Because I care!

Kat Devlin
Art Teacher kdevlin@bethlehem.k12.nh.us I hail from the Green Mountain State but I am thrilled to be returning to the White Mountains after getting my BFA from Colby-Sawyer College in 2018. I picked up my MAT from Saint Michael's College at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic and have been teaching up in the Vermont Isles for the past two years. I specialize in painting and digital art, but I am also an avid reader and baker. I am a cancer survivor, experienced in both sides of trauma and restorative practices, as well as a strong advocate for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility for all. I am thrilled to be joining the BES staff as the art teacher and look forward to another year of creativity and learning!

Erica Golden
2nd Grade Teacher egolden@bethlehem.k12.nh.us I grew up in Northern New Hampshire, and graduated from Profile. I have three children of my own, as well as two giant dogs. I have experience working with children of all ages. I coach recreational and team gymnastics at Evergreen Sports Center. I love spending time with my own children, doing arts and crafts, and decorating for the holidays!

2nd Grade Teacher cgreenlaw@bethlehem.k12.nh.us I grew up in southern NH and attended Salve Regina University in Rhode Island where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and Special Education. I later received my masters in Experiential Learning and Development at Plymouth State. This is my tenth year teaching and my eighth year at BES! Outside of school, I love to spend time with my family!

Principal sgreenlaw@bethlehem.k12.nh.us I was born and raised in Marblehead, MA. My family moved to Ashland, NH, in 1978 when my dad bought a hardware store. I attended Plymouth State College graduating in 1983, and my teaching career began. I have two children who attended BES! Travis is 28 and has a son named Wells with Christine Greenlaw, our 2nd grade teacher! My daughter Ashlea is 25 and is the school counselor at White Mountain School. Every day I feel lucky that I landed at BES in 1989!

Janelle Hubbard
6th Grade Teacher jhubbard@bethlehem.k12.nh.us I teach 6th grade math and science at BES. This year will be my 7th year in the 6th grade and our outdoor adventures and exciting curriculum are my favorite part about teaching. I grew up in northern NH and have always enjoyed being outdoors and immersed in nature. When I'm not at school you can find me chasing around two very energetic toddlers who also love adventuring outside. Sharing my curiosity about the world around us with my own children and my students is what I enjoy most in life!

I have three children whom also attended BES and Profile, seven Grandchildren, some of which have also gone to school at BES and Profile! I enjoy spending time with my family, riding mountain bikes, and love the Bethlehem trails! As a full time employee of BES, I love being a part of such an amazing community! Office Manager nkerstetter@bethlehem.k12.nh.us Hi! I am Nicole but all the kiddos call me Miss K! I was born in Puerto Rico, raised in CT, but have spent the last 19 years in Bethlehem, NH. I went to school at BES and graduated from Profile in 2011. I have been working within the SAU for the last 10 years and at BES for the last 8 years. Outside of school, I love to spend time with my family and friends. I LOVE to read, go for walks, and spend time by the water.

I have spend the last 25 years educating youth in a variety of different settings, including Leadership Schools, Outdoor Ed programs, summer travel programs, The White Mountain School, and most recently Woodland Community School. Many 'locals' may know me as the former director of the Creative Edge Dance Studio where I taught and mentored hundreds of local/regional dancers of all ages. I have a BA in Economics/Education/Performing Arts from Colby College in Waterville, ME and a MFA from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH.

I graduated from Iowa State University with a Music Education degree. I later continued my education at Plymouth State University with a certification in K-12 General Special Education. I currently live in Campton, NH but LOVE BES so much that the school and community are worth the drive!

I loved growing up in the White Mountains as it is a big playground for me since I enjoy hiking, fishing, kayaking, and camping. My husband is a registered dietician and a great chef. We love cooking together but I mostly eat what he cooks! In my free time I will hike or visit with my family. I also work at the Freehouse on the weekends!

I love working with students at BES. I also enjoy spending time with my family and all my animals. We have four dogs, four ducks, and eight chickens. I grew up in Coventry, RI and come from a rather large family. My Dad had eleven brothers and sisters. My Mom and two older brothers still live in Rhode Island. I live with my husband, my dog, and two cats. I have two grown children of my own and enjoy spending as much time as possible with both of them and their families. I enjoy kayaking, gardening, and being outdoors as much as possible. I love nature and especially love the ocean! If you have visited my classroom you may have also noticed I Love Snoopy and anything Peanuts!!!

In my free time, I enjoy spending time outside with my family, crafting & making art, and going on adventures. I am passionate about helping others and love kind humans! A fun fact about my family is that we were all born on a Monday!

I have lived in the North Country for over 27 years and currently reside in Whitefield with my husband and one of my sons. I have three sons aged 37, 27, and 24, a granddaughter who is 16 and a grandson who is 7. I also have a 16 year old chihuahua named Mooselaukee SkippyJon. I love to be with my family, spend time in and around water, make art, doodle, dance, and practice yoga. BES is the best school I have ever worked in and I hope to never leave!

Speech Pathologist Hi! I am Sheryl MacDonald. I was born in Boston and raised outside of Boston. I went to Indiana University for my Bachelors Degree and UNH for my Masters. Much to the disappointment of the students, I do not own MacDonald's or have a farm. We do have a sugar house in Vermont and love making maple syrup. Our grandchildren enjoy exploring mini-golf courses with us. Chuckster's is one of our favorites. We like to cook, boat, and play games!

School Psychologist I have been the School Psychologist for SAU 35 for 5 years. Prior to becoming a School Psychologist, I was a middle school teacher for 10 years.
